Stitch Fix #5 - June 2015

Ahhh....summer.  The land of maxi skirts & dresses, tassels & pom pom details and boho chic.  I just love summer fashion and all the beautiful colors and patterns that are popping up this year!  Before I started using Stitch Fix, I had a pretty good idea of what I liked for colors, fabrics, etc. but I have to say using a stylist has expanded my taste and I LOVE replacing the quantity of items in my closet with QUALITY items.

In case you have not heard of Stitch Fix, it's a personal styling program that's takes your input to create a style profile for $20 each time you want a "fix".  I currently have mine set up for monthly.  If you keep one or more items the $20 fee is subtracted from the balance due. As a bonus, if you buy all five items they send you, they give you a 25% discount which can be pretty great if you love everything they send!!  How do they know what they pick for you will fit?  It's magic, I am sure of it.  So far the two pair of jeans I have purchased from Stitch Fix fit me better than ANY pair I have tried on in a store and purchased for myself.

Ok.  Here are the details of my fifth box from Stitch Fix that my stylist (or fairy god-stylist) chose for me:

1) SKIES ARE BLUE Anselmo Pleated Henley Blouse ($44)
2) LOVEAPPELLA Abella Maxi Dress ($78)
3) URBAN EXPRESSIONS Loretta Woven Top Clutch ($48)
4) MARKET & SPRUCE Berg Pintuck Detail Top ($58)
5) GILLI Reilly Printed Maxi Skirt ($54)

So, here is how I decided which items to keep:

SKIES ARE BLUE Anselmo Pleated Henley Blouse ($44)
The color of this blouse is beautiful and I love the subtle pleated detailing.  The only thing I didn't love is that it was a bit sheer and I didn't want to have to worry about wearing something underneath it.  Hopefully my stylist sends me another coral top next month as I love this color.   Verdict: GOING BACK

LOVEAPPELLA Abella Maxi Dress ($78)
This maxi dress is SO soft and the perfect length for me with flats (I am 5' 8").  I also loved that the straps were wide enough to wear a bra with it.  There are two slits on the bottom which make the dress flow very nicely when walking.  It does have a tie around the middle that I was not crazy about, and I am more of a solid color girl than prints so I decided to send this one back.  Verdict: GOING BACK

URBAN EXPRESSIONS Loretta Woven Top Clutch ($48)
It was love at first tassel.  LOVE the color.  LOVE the size.  LOVE the pattern inside and the optional gold chain so you can convert it into a crossbody bag.  I am so excited about this clutch!!!   Verdict:  GET IN MY CLOSET

MARKET & SPRUCE Berg Pintuck Detail Top ($58)
This top was a gorgeous material and like the blouse above I loved the subtle details.  It is a very pretty green color and soft material, but I received a top in this very same green color a couple fixes ago, so I didn't want to keep something that was the same as I already had in my closet.   I would love this in a pretty pink or cobalt blue color.  Verdict: GOING BACK

GILLI Reilly Printed Maxi Skirt ($54)
The pattern on this skirt was PERFECT for summer.  The length was perfect and the material was non-iron so it would be ideal for throwing into a suitcase for vacation!  However, as I noted above, I tend to shy away from really loud prints and I wasn't sure how much I would really wear this skirt and I only want to buy pieces that I know I will get a lot of use out of.  Verdict: GOING BACK
